As we close 2015 and look with anticipation to 2016, I hope that we will all take some time to meditate on God’s Word. Grounding ourselves in His Word will give us hope and encouragement as we start another year. I pray that we would all honor Him more in 2016!
“Do not remember the past events,
pay no attention to things of old.
Look, I am about to do something new;
even now it is coming. Do you not see it?
Indeed, I will make a way in the wilderness,
rivers in the desert.” —Isaiah 43:18-19 HCSB
“Because of the Lord’s faithful love
we do not perish,
for His mercies never end.
They are new every morning;
great is Your faithfulness!
I say: The Lord is my portion,
therefore I will put my hope in Him.”
—Lamentations 3:22-24 HCSB
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation;
old things have passed away, and look, new things have come.”
— 2 Corinthians 5:17
“There is an occasion for everything,
and a time for every activity under heaven” —Ecclesiastes 3:1 HCSB
“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will remove your heart of stone[f] and give you a heart of flesh. I will place My Spirit within you and cause you to follow My statutes and carefully observe My ordinances. Then you will live in the land that I gave your fathers; you will be My people, and I will be your God.” Ezekiel 36:26-28
“Search for the Lord and for His strength; seek His face always. Remember the wonderful works He has done, His wonders, and the judgments He has pronounced.” — 1 Chronicles 16:11-12 HCSB
